A plain account of the personal data this site handles. This is the site’s privacy and data policy. It is not a promise that a dispute can never reach a court or authority.

Pipiganj.com is a local information site for Pipiganj, Gorakhpur. The person operating the site is the data fiduciary for personal data collected here. You can reach that operator at the email, phone, and office address at the end of this page. This notice was last updated on 21 October 2026.

It is written to match the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. Those rules give data fiduciaries until about May 2027 for some duties. This site follows the notice, minimisation, and deletion practices below now.

Personal data and why it is used

Browsing published pages does not require an account. The suggest / correct form is the only place that asks you for information. Sending the form is how you give consent for the uses in this list. Each item is used only for the purpose next to it.

  • Suggestion text — to review a tip or correction and, only after a person accepts it, to prepare a public page.
  • Optional name — to know who to reply to if a follow-up is needed.
  • Optional email or phone — to contact you about that suggestion. It is not required.
  • Browser user agent — to limit repeated spam from the same browser.
  • Salted hash of an IP address — stored only when a trusted host provides the address, and only as a one-way hash. The raw IP address is not saved. The hash is used to limit repeated submissions.

We do not ask for passwords, government IDs, payment details, or health records. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. Submissions start in a pending state and are not published automatically. A suggestion is not a verified or published listing until a human review accepts it and the public content is updated separately.

Suggestions are saved in a Supabase Postgres database. Supabase is a database provider and may process that data on servers outside India. The website host may also keep short technical logs needed to deliver pages. If the database is unavailable, the form will show an error and will not claim that your tip was saved.

How long suggestions are kept

Each suggestion is kept for up to 12 months from the day it is submitted, including the optional name and email or phone, then deleted. A pending, accepted, or rejected suggestion follows the same period. Published listing text is separate: it stays on the site while the listing remains published, and it is removed or changed when the record is corrected or unpublished.

Your choices

Email yogesh@pipiganj.com to withdraw consent, ask for a copy of the suggestion you sent, correct it, or ask for deletion. Withdrawing consent is the same step as asking for deletion: one email. We delete that submission, including the name and contact stored with it, within 30 days, unless a law requires a record to be kept. The form is meant for adults sharing local information. If a child’s personal data was sent, email the same address and it will be deleted.

Published content

Published listings and events may include publicly shareable business or organizer details that have been confirmed for publication. Phone, WhatsApp, and website are shown only when the owner has granted permission. Internal verification notes and private sources are not shown on public pages.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It does not run a tracking pixel. A host may still set a strictly necessary cookie to deliver the site. None of those are used to build an advertising profile.

Complaints

Write to yogesh@pipiganj.com or call 9115036388 about privacy, a listing, copyright, or any other concern about this site. That address is the grievance contact. We aim to acknowledge a complaint within 7 days and to reply within 15 days. Reports of sexual imagery, impersonation, or other unlawful material are reviewed first, and content this site hosts will be removed when the report shows it should come down.

You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, using the process the Board publishes. Contacting us first does not remove that right.
